I know, I know. I just keep moving.

Flicks and all that soon! I'm addicted to beautiful weather and I must be outside.

as much as i want the individual photos from this slideshow (the one of me and the Queen of Philly is oh-so-adorable), i am very pleased with and impressed by this slideshow from the one and only Vanache. well done as usual, babe!

see if you can spot me!

things have been craaaaaaaazy.

it was brought to my attention that i spent the majority of last week out and about. thanks, B. it went by so fast, that i didn't even realize it... but i like that. never complain about being busy; no one wants to die idle. word.

wednesday was a particularly dope SuperDope, as my boy AKiLLES performed and got everyone hype for his show at the grand opening of Panda Bar on Saturday.

thursday was relatively calm; finally picked a permanent stylist, a truly amazing miss maxi cooper, who on...

friday really hooked me up with a fantastic coif, and even went over how we're gonna do it up for the next event. keep that on the hush though, my steelo is classified information. i wish i could keep her in my pocket for instant swagga. anyway, that night i ended up rolling over the to Bacardi B-Live event, which (while exciting and crazy lit) i wasn't really pleased with. tons of people were there, though; they really had that place packed (Phsh, V, and Gene chillin' in the vip... uh-ohs). oh, well - you win some, you lose some, which is why i popped over to Fluid for the Dutty Chutney mash-up. now, that was insane. the DJ there came fi rock it, no bull. remind me to stop wearing short dresses to crazy parties, though.

saturday was a whirlwind of a day, trying to get ready for the Panda Bar event, which went better than i could have even hoped for. i had my body art (shouts to John F.), my panda shirt (courtesy of the man called Vanache), and the turnout was high. the transition from AKiLLES and the ODDicy's truly hype performance to DJ Phsh killing it on the tables was quite buttery, if i can say so from my spot on the floor. thanks so much to all the people who came out, especially my people from the Dirty, NY, and DE. your lovely lady Lily 'persheates ya heavy.

john and i tried to get started with the body paint early
before things got crazy (and crazy they got, man).
see the jeans? ya'll weren't ready for lily's legs yet.

sisters in body art! john was on a roll, and everybody
was jumping on the body paint.

my sister and her man came out to see the show, too.
i gotta get her down to philly more often.

walt was sketching pandas before the show. notice the
generous drink next to the napkin.

the one and only queen of philly w/ her model-pout,
showing me and my body art some love... LFK!

sweetie's body art is fly - i love the coral color!

MC Unless commissioned his own body art before
heading up on stage w/ AKiLLES.

sunday was pretty chill - after visiting my family to spend pops' day with my incredible father, i drove back to philly for a quick meeting and a pop over to the Roots Studio for Elevator Fight's jam session/rehearsal. it was exactly how i wanted to end my weekend: amazing sounds, amazing people... and liquor. i'm pretty pleased with it, even though i didn't get the sleep i told Zoe i would (oops). lovelovelove to all the wonderful people i met over there. can't wait to see y'all tomorrow for SuperDope!

this week's looking pretty crazy as well, but i'm ready for it. rest is for suckas.

just drove back to philly from jersey handling madd business
meeting w/ a couple designers tonight
sitting with a stylist tomorrow
hitting up a couple events friday before the show saturday (gotta make sure i'm fly!)

(who's going to the bacardi show?)

crazy running around saturday and making sure my peoples get into philly alright
then...

getting dressed up, painted up, and doing it up @ Panda Bar on saturday night!

check out the custom tee my man Vanache is making for me to wear @ the opening:

werd.

i know where i'll be... getting painted up and watching the hottest show in philly.

i'd better see you there!

PandaBar Grand Opening this Saturday!

you had better be there. besides, what's better on a saturday night than hip-hop and body paint? love it.

in other news, i went to this fly show in jersey last night to go see Milan perform. I wasn't planning to stay too long (that drive back to philly is a killa), but the band came fi rock it! the bassist was killin' it, too - shouts to david! definitely went to sleep with the band's sticker on my thigh (crashed into bed about 6 AM, maybe later):

that's that i'm-at-the-bar cameraphone picture quality for ya.

i got five hours of sleep before the fire alarm started going off (neighbors) and now i can't seem to close my eyes. so i jacked my boy L's iPod and copied 500+ tracks to expand my library from 1271 to 1771. great way to pass the time, yeah?

speaking of crazy good shows (and don't hate me for moving backwards), i also went out to brooklyn to see Elevator Fight @ the Trash Bar last friday night. it was a great impromptu escape from the phustle and bustle, and the show rocked hard. anyone want to get me a new phone? because this photo does not do miss zoe justice:

oh, well. gotta start remembering to bring the digital.

afterwards, we hit dokebi and i had bi bim bahp for the first time. tan delicioso! i killed this food. it was so good i almost forgot where i was. and everyone knows soda tastes better from a glass bottle, too.

next time, table grill is in the plans. nom...

Ooh-WEE!

SuperDope was pretty sweet last night. shouts to all the new friends i made! nowhere else can you get crazy in the middle of the week. it just makes the weekend seem like downtime.

speaking of SuperDope, my boy Bryan Green just cut a new promo video for the party in all its dopeness. go check this out; I guarantee you'll be there next wednesday after seeing it.

and the dude with the wondrous 'fro? none other than the incredible DJ Phsh.

phew! i think i'm still a little exhausted from that dancehall set...

so on monday we had the test run/promo shoot for the body art that will be done at the show on June 20th. prime location too - the roof deck! i got to sit and look out at the skyline as the sun went down and the city lights came up, my favorite thing to do ever since i came to philly. i didn't even mind the cold, or having to sit so still - a model's gotta do what a model's gotta do. ;)

shouts to John F. for the amazing artwork!

here's the finished product, loves. photos of the process can be found @ picasaweb.google.com/misslilyofphilly.

over @ artistaday.com, Jennifer Sanchez is showing off some of her beautiful designs... i wish i had these on a shirt or a dress or something. go check it out!

my mind can handle how much energy is required to go from model/assistant to a full on promo-girl and brand consultant. i know this.

but sometimes it sits back and starts reeling over how much there is to do, and how new i am at all this. i think i'm doing a bang-up job so far, and apparently i'm not the only one who thinks so. that makes me happy.

there's still a long way to go, but i know i'll make it. in my eyes, there's no other option.

go big, or go home.

Lily's coming soon...
